Well, you may wanna know how I figure it's a $410 truck. The thing is I got the truck for free in exchange for some work on my friends 1987 ford truck and rebuilding an AOD in a Grand Marquis. So here's how it breaks down:
1979 Ford F150 ranger XLT - Free
Five used, but still good BFG 285/75R16 all terrains - Free (brother works at tire store)
One Husky deep, oversized tool box - free (left over from my 2001 Superduty)
Five Summit racing 16x10 aluminum wheels on clearance - $270
New wiper blades, gas cap, 2 new headlights, oil filter, oil, trans filter, type F, Air filter, Mile marker supreme hubs, valve stems, lug nuts, misc other stuff - $140
So, with a little creative shopping, scrounging around and bartering I wind up with this nice driving 460 equipped pickup for the grand total of $410. The thing bumps to life better than any brand new truck I've ever owned or driven (and that's a lot) has new exhaust, pulls very strong and is getting around 10-12mpg just driving it back and forth to work, 32 miles each way.
So, for the picture of what I ended up with after laying out a sum less than the payment on my old v-10 Superduty ($603 a month - ouch) here is my "new" truck.

Take $400 of what you are saving and put it in the bank for about 4 months and you can fix or replace ANYTHING that goes wrong with it. Take the other $200 and give yourself a raise. Nice truck BTW.

Wow, great deal. And even a 460. I like those wheels. I like those eagle/micky thompson wheels with the holes in them but everyone has those. My cousin has them on this 89 F-150 and his 2000 super duty so I want something different. Wow those were cheap. I want to stick with 15s though. But I think thats what I'll be buying once my truck is painted.
