fordinterceptor is starting off with a positive reputation.
backup lights on 74 f100

Can someone tell me where the backup light sensor is located, some say its on the trans other say its in the column with gear selector? Its an automatic. Thanks, Grady

mikeo0o0o0 is starting off with a positive reputation.
On the 73-77's it's mounted on top of the steering column under the dash. It's activated by a pin that sticks up from the shifter tube. It is also the neutral start switch.
The switch was mounted on the transmission on the 78-79 models
