460 Carb to EFI

Hey guys I just picked up an 88 fuel injected 460 and I also have an 86 carb 460... I was wanting to see if I could use the EFI out of the 88 into the 86, I plan on swapping the zf5 trans out of the 88 into the 86. Is it possible to also swap the EFI?

Yes, but why?
The speed density system doesn't respond well to performance modifications.

Then again,

Why not???
