Differential and axle questions

I'm swapping my Diffs out for a new used type front and back. From 3.55 to 3.73 These are complete assemblies. I noticed however my lug bolts on my 2002 f-150 9.75 diff are slightly larger then the ones on the new used one. Is is possible for me to just swap the axles around to maintain the lug bolt size? Also I would like to put my front diff in but need to wait to do the back one. Can i put the front diff in and just leave the driveshaft out to prevent any 4x4 issues. This is temporary I dont wanna use the 4x4 until all diffs have been changed.just trying to space the amount of time needed to do both at the same time. Do one now and the other one in a week or so

old trucks are 12 mm studs, new are 14 mm studs. you can change the hubs and shafts if you want. you can use wheels with the bigger holes, just tighten good.... if you have two different gear ratios on the two axles, i would guess your ABS system will throw a fit. Maybe just disconnect the ABS pickup in the rear pumpkin. Leaving the front drive shaft off sounds o.k. to me. Cant think of any big problem with that.

Shouldnt matter your front axle wont even be engaged to your diff until your actuator engages it. Your abs wont be affected at all just running in two wheel drive. Good luck.
