69 f100 no start

My brother girlfriend drives a 69 f100. 390/c6 combo. Put a new solonoid in yesterday, started the truck, my brother drove it to the college and now it wont start. Solonoid wont even click. 12 volts or so from the battery, 12 at the solonoid. I cant check to see if the starter is getting voltage as i need another person to help. Any suggestions?

Danger_Dave is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
all you need to do is disconnect the starter cable from the solenoid and touch it to the + battery post. then if it cranks you know it isnt the starter or the battery.

Wiggle the gearshift, the nuetral safety switch may not be making, also this model may have the switch mounted to the tranny. Make sure the wires haven't come apart.
