Amp Mounting

This past summer I set up a complete new audio system in my truck, and it sounds amazing. I have two amps, one for speakers, and one for subs. Having these two amps vs. just one makes a world of difference. I mounted these along the floorbaord in the rear(where the rear passengers feet are). I was planning on making a cover for this so the amps and connections dont get screwed up with peoples feet. I never got around to making this, and I am now considerign re-mounting these somewhere else. I am thinking about doing it in the center console, but I think that they might get to hot in there and fry?? I was wondering where people are hiding there amps. I have seen sixlitres setup(Impressive), but I'm looking for a spot inside the truck. Any suggestions would be great.
