My 2006 with the 5.4 has been acting strange lately. When I goto start it andter it has sat (over night, after work, etc) it seems slow to fire. Cranks over fast and strong just feels like its taking the truck a second to get fuel. If I touch the throttle while its cranking it fires right up. Any ideas where to start as I would rather not take it to the dealer ($$$$).
There is a special tool to get the fuel lines off the filter. The filter was supposed to be changed at about 36k.

Or you can get a metal one that will last forever. The Autozone/O'Reilly counter dude will probably try and sell you the wrong one. Make sure its a RED one, for a 5/16ths line.

The plastic one I got from Autozone didn't work worth beans... I ended up paying someone 60 bucks to install the filter..
