5.4l sputter

I have a 2004 E250 super duty conversion van with a 5.4L triton and 98k mileage, my problem is when accelerating between 40 and 50 mph and with the tachometer under 2000 rpm i get a sputter. What should I do.

I would say plugs and coil boots for starters.

I would take my 1994 5.8 any day over my 02 5.4.I cannot break 10 mpg with the 5.4 vs 13 with the 5.8.No plug issues either
