Thnking about buying a 2007 F150 Super Cab

Hi,
I am new here and I am looking at buying a 2007 Super Cab with 4.6 liter engine and 4WD. I was wondering what I should look at as far as mecahnincal problems this model has been known to have? The car has 86K miles on it but it looks to be in good shape. New brake pads and rotors all around and also the cv axle on the front right was replaced by the dealer. What are some telling signs I should look for to make sure I am not getting screwed?
Thanks,
Jon

Knowing the price would help in determining whether your getting screwed or not?

Sorry, the price is 16988. I looked at the blue book and it looks like it is 2K below blue book for the included options in my area.

For that mileage and $$$, I would try to find a truck with a 5.4L.

I'm thinking he's refering mostly to problem areas within the truck. Not just how much the dealer is trying to yank from his pocket.

If you can, have a Ford dealer, service department, run an Oasis report on the truck you decide on. This will give you some insight into the repair history of the truck. These trucks can be problem free.
