Knowing ford it's the same as any F-series close to that year. Are you looking for an original harness or are you just trying to wire it to work?

Welcome to FTE

There is no separate wiring harness for the starter solenoid, it's part of the following:

C5TZ14398BN .. Dash Panel to Engine Wiring Harness Assy / Obsolete

Fits: 1965/67 F500/600 with 330 & 361 engines.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has THREE = 800-543-4959.

No Ford Dealer, no other obsolete parts vendor has any.

If your F600 has a 240 or 300 I-6 or 391 4V, no one has these harnesses.

Ford used the SAME starter solenoid from 1956 thru 1979 on darn near every Passenger Car, Truck, Bronco & Econoline.

Find any of these....you could splice in the starter solenoid section of the harness.

1966 F600? Is it a 1966....or not?

Is this VIN on your registration, or is it from the Warranty Plate, located on the left door face below the latch?

If it's from the Warranty Plate, compare it with the VIN on the registration to see if it matches.

People replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99% of the time, they did not install the correct Warranty Plate on the replaced door.

F60 = F600 2WD

M = 330 2V Heavy Duty

H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant

517486 = 1964 assembled March 1964

If it is a 1964, the C5TZ14398BN wiring harness is in-correct.

There were three different wiring harnesses used in 1964:

(1) with generator, (2) with Ford (Auto-Lite) alternator, (3) with Leece-Neville alternator.

Bill... WOW, you're a wealth of information. Thanks for your help. It's possible that the truck is a 1964. We have 3 1966 1-ton's and I just assumed this f600 was also a 1966. I'll double check the frame plate but I'm certain the door hasn't been replaced. It's not a generator system but is there a quick way to tell whether or not I have an Autolite or Leece-Neville alternator? Would a replacement Dash Panel to Engine Wiring Harness be available for either of these alternators? Thanks again for all of your help.

The alternators should be marked as to who manufactured them.

If it is a 1964, most likely it has a Leece-Neville alternator.

C4TZ14398JD .. Dash Panel to Engine Wiring Harness / Obsolete

Fits: 1964 F500/700 223/262 I-6's & 292/330 V8's. Use with Ford (Auto-Lite) Alternator.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C4TZ14398PH .. Dash Panel to Engine Wiring Harness / Obsolete

Fits: 1964 F500/750 all I-6 & V8 engines except diesels / Use with Leece-Neville alternator.

Sorry, no Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either one.

Compare the harness on your 1964 with one from your 1966.

There's prolly only a slight difference, which means you may be able to use or splice in C5TZ14398BN.
