Started off last weekend. Me and a group of buddies went to Redneck yatch Club in Punta Gorda. Yall heard of it? It is the biggest off road park in florida and its been in the magazine and all over the internet. Anyways.... its amazing what you can do to a truck when you and a buddy kill a bottle of Jim Beam and 2 18 packs or Coors. lol.
So I broke-
- 3 U-joints
- 1 slip yoke on my main shaft. So I had to pull the one off my
front atleast I would have 2 wheel drive.
- My brand new 1410 yoke on my rear end
- Brane new rear driveshaft
- Ladder bars
- Yoke and seals on my 205
- My tranny grinds in 3rd and 4th gears
- And my rear leaf spring broke in half, sending it through my bed, and
my fender dropped into my tire and put about 1" gash all the way
around my 44.
I dont have any pics of wheeling it yet, I will post them as soon as I get it. I do have alot of afters though. So.... knock yourself out.
And yes, I pulled it 220 miles one way with my F150
(3 tanks of gas there and back)
All loaded ready to go..
and the afters...
We played hell getting it back onto the trailer. It took about 2 hours and 3 trucks....
I welded the spring back together just to get it unloaded. It might hold up
Did good huh....
So my next big event... I sold the white F350 I bought to part out, and I'm in the middle of taking the axles, tires, and steering out of the blue truck to do the SAS in my F150. Blue truck is also sold and will be leaving next week.
And the last big one.. I just bought a Superduty.
Its a 2001 7.3 4x4 lariat. Extended cab, long bed. Fully loaded. 160K in amazing condition. Trailer brakes, goosneck, Cold air intake and on 35's. Had to do a major cleaning, but other than that I'm very happy. I got it at a steal too. $6800!!
Ill get better pics tomorrow.

Damn man. I have to admit you always have the best broken pictures.
Probably not a good thing. So how the hell did you accomplish all this damage? Why did you sell the blue truck??? I thought you were going to put rockwells on it!

I dont know why you put so much effert into welding that spring? Thought you just welded it to get it off the trailer. Welding on a leaf spring cant be a good idea for any use. Now i dont know how most leaf springs are made but i know they are not made out of anything close to mild steel which is what i assume you used for a filler metal and I would guess they go through some sort of heat treatment process like anealing or tempering. The heat created by welding it and not matching the base metal would totaly screw up the grain structure in the steel. Kinda like when your makin sexy time with your ol lady and your just rockin it (like this guy->) right, then all of sudden you get the urge to fart but cant just let it go. No no. You gotta ride it out and it just throws you all outa whack. In conclusion it will probably create alot of stress in the steel and break again. Time wasted

Yep. Unforutantly this truck breaks more than it doesnt. Ive had it for 2.5 years now and it has only NOT broken on me 1 time. Which is more the reason why I'm done with it.
My initial plan was to put it under rocks. But I'm building up the 1 tons and there aint no sense in having 2 mud trucks (Unless your 75F350)
Im dropping alot of money on the 150 build, so I wouldnt have the cash to build up the blue one for a long time....Plus now I bought the Superduty I'm really strapped for cash....

Like i said, me and a buddy killed a bottle of Jim Beam, and (2) 18 packs of Coors Light. Drinking and wheeling isnt the best idea. You tend to think your indestructable and hit holes that are up over my waist at about 40 mph sending a wave of water and mud over your roof and the surrounding area of 50 feet completely soaking and pissing everyone off that was watching you. Fu *K IT!

So how hard will the swap to the 99 be? I think it would look sweet with the 1 tons, but arn't there sensors or something that needs to go in?
It was a blast. Look up Redneck Yatch Club on youtube or yahoo.
Im hoping it is going to go relatively easy. Im using 8" chevy springs, laser cut crossmembers and offset shackles to add another 6.5 inches. Along with my 3" body lift I'll have 17.5 inches total which will clear 44's pretty nice. The VSS sensor is really the only one which I need to worry about, but it is on the tranny of this era of trucks, not the rear end so its all good. The only other sensors is the ABS, which I will not have anymore but its ok. Im doing a rear disc conversion on the 10.25 so I should be able to stop just fine. I started it today, but its already dark. I'm ripping all the IFS chit out of it and grinding everything clean before I do anything so I'll be updating my build thread soon.

Ahhh Man I would have went to the Redneck Yacht Club last weekend but I went to Ga. to do a lil huntin. I would have liked seein you giving that blue tuck hell before you got rid of it. I live in Port Charlotte so that place is very close and I go often. Its a blast. Good luck with your new truck.
Nice 250, that 7.3 is gonna pull the wheels off your trailer. Got any plans for it?
Im gonna try to keep it the way it is. Its hard to resist lifting it. Its on 35's stock so it should keep me happyt for now.....
Im gonna try to keep to the performance mods. Its already got a cold air intake but gonna do exhaust and a programmer right now.
