Searched and read, see that its best to replace with good manual warn and will put that on the list.
The auto part stopped working the other day. Put em in manual and all was good. Took them out on the way home. NEEDED them to pull tonight and no matter what I did, manuallylocked them in and put the selector in 2/4/4 no matter what it would not engage 4x4.
Whats next besides replacing them which I do NOT have time to do right now.
Mr Murphy has lived with me the last 3 months and I'm about ready to kill that SOB.

Thanks for any input.
Does your 4x4 light in the instrument cluster light up when in 4LO or 4HI? If it does you should not be able to spin the front driveshaft. Leave the 4x4 switch in 2WD and switch hubs to "lock" position-slide under the front of the truck and try to rotate the front axle shafts at the u-joint using a screwdriver or small prybar. If they spin w/hubs in lock position you have a bad hub-they both need to lock in or you will not have 4WD.
