Help!

I was driving today at a steady pace btwn 60-65 and every once and a while my truck would "lurch" for a second like something was slipping and then caught (only for a split second) it happened like 20 times on my way home...any ideas? 2002 f20 v-10 with a ls rear end. sometimes driving around town it will shift hard occasionally as well. thanks for everyones help.

You say it will "Shift hard" occasionally,,,it is an automatic,,I would guess then??
Have you checked the tranny fluid? Done a tranny service on the truck at all?
Trans service is recommended at 30k miles.

Does it feel like the trans is slipping? Is the OD lite flashing on the end of the shift lever? if so,,you have a trans issue.

im not sure what a slipping trans feels like, its just a quick "surge" or "jerk" that does feel like something catching all of a sudden, but i saw no OD like flashing.
