???

ok i have looked every where for like 3 weeks and i cant find the info im lookin for... so what im stumped on is i am going to swap the c6 in my 2wd 88 f150 for a zf out of a f250 that is also a 2wd.... and i was wandering if i would have to get a longer or shorter drive shaft? thats my delima and any info will be greatly appreciated

Some C6's are different lengths than others. I would certainly plan on it as part of the swap, you can measure both trannies when you get them side by side. If for some reason you are unable or unwilling to modify driveshafts then you should probably just keep the C6.

im more than willing to make a driveshaft thats not really a problem. there is this company not to far from where i live uhm Fleetpride i think thats it any way they are the ones i had make a drive shaft for my brothers dirt track car... and the c6 in the truck is a good transmission it just doesnt have overdrive so it isnt what i would call a "eco friendly" lol and i plan on building a 351 and putting in it sometime along with upgrading the front end to a 92-96 model make it look a little better but thats not going to affect the instalation of the zf
