Mountaineer Rack & Pinion Posessed

I've got a dilemma. I had a rusty leaking line in my rack on a 2002 mountaineer. I decided to replace both lines since they were quite rusty. They are in such a hard spot to get to, I ended up kinking one the the power steering pump lines and had to replace it too. I got everything back together, filled up the reservoir and started the car. After a few seconds the steering wheel started shaking violently back and forth in both directions. If I tried to hold on the wheel it would pull real real hard in one direction and then stop, then pull real real hard in the other direction until fully turned and then repeat. I only put a qt. of fluid in and now it remains full no longer going down. I have three thoughts, either I put the two line ends up by the steering shaft on backwards, I need somehow to bleed the system or I have to go get a priest and perform an exorcism. Hopefully it's one of the first two. Any help would be appreciated.

OK I'll answer my own question. First I undid one of the lines and ran the car to bleed the system. Nothing changed. Since it's Saturday night I couldn't get a priest until monday morning and my wife has been without a car all week so I decided to deal with the lesser of the two evils and back under the car I went. I switched the two steel line ends that I replaced and whallahh!! The car works perfectly and everybody is happy. I will say that I've changed motors, transmissions, etc. and this rack and pinion is one of the hardest things to work on I've ever done because of it's location. You just want to take a torch and cut the frame out of the car. Probably not worth it. Hope this may help somebody else down the road.
