My Q is..............

What kind of oil shall it be in my Dana21

I filled it with axel oil 80/90 but 76oil in sweden recomend ATF.
I filled it with 80/90 because the old oil was axeloil.
(U don`t need to be a rocket researcher to find out that it was not ATF oil)

It`s a kind of rare car in sweden.
USA built working cars are often Dodge or chevy in sweden.

Regular gear oil is the reccommended oil for your transfer case. ATF is too thin for this application. ATF is used for later BW aluminum transfer cases. Your gear driven transfer case had 80-90W gear oil in it from the start and thats what you should put back in.

 

80/90 is good
