Disc brake rear end

for 53-56 fords I have a 8.8 with disc brakes

how can the e brake be hooked up...is there certain cables to get for install length etc...

You will need custom cables unless you get the entire cable from the donor vehicle where the 8.8 came out of, that's what I did with an Explorer.

I have 87-92 ford racing conversion cables that I was going to use in my 92 mustang drag car project which is all three cables and also have a Ebrake from a 97 mustang for disc brakes...

also still have the stock main cables from the 97 GT

I did this set up on mine. Its not complete yet but works. I took the original cables and cut the ends off that would go into the drum.I then made another end for both cable ends that ressembles the ends that would be on the Explder cable end.Didnt take long. Drill, grinder and small file was all I needed.Then drilled a hole the same size as the cable and installed cable into this hole and welded it into the new end. Should be able to use the orignal brake handle to.
