I'd drive it... Maybe. Certainly only off road, and no faster than walking pace, so what use it would serve I have no idea.

I would not try to drive that to the end of my driveway.

If that went through an inspection station here they would impound it.

And although there is not a picture showing the rear suspension, I thik it hass the same fine engineering back there as well.

"Lots of time and money went into making this truck the way it is. This Truck is really fun and it draws looks wherever you go. I drive it back and forth to work every day and it runs fine. I have never been able to get this truck stuck either. There is nothing wrong with this truck other than the fact that the tires need to be balanced b/c no one around here can do it."

Hard to get stuck on blacktop, the drive shafts would surely fall out if you took it off road.

To bad all that money was wasted, Joe you should post that link in the off road forum, I can hear the comments now.
Never put lift blocks on the front axle of a road driven vehicle.
I can't imaging the stress that the U bolts would be under in a panic stop.
If you ever hit anything the rear tires would be driving over the front tires.

Dave, I think the tie rods would snap before the drive shafts.

Look at the stress on them!

The tie rods should be able to handle more rotation than it would take for the drive shft slip joint to come apart.

With big tires like that axle wrap becomes an issue rather fast.
That is why the serious off road trucks runnning tires in the 36" and up tire sizes lay out lots of money for parts to build three or four link suspension setups to keep the U joints from being broken as the axle twists without them.

With 12" blocks between the springs and axle, that wrap would turn into the axle moving forward more than the length of the splines in the driveshaft on the front axle while the rear axle is getting the drive shaft jambed together when going forward.

Hard braking or reverse would move everything the other way.

I do agree, the steering linkages turning that much rubber are under huge loads, and the custom bends in the drop link make it weaker.

Just think, he drives it on the road every day.

Won't that make you feel real safe every time you meet a truck jacked way up with big tires under it out on the highway now?

This is a non highway driven truck, and if you look at the rear axle you can see the drive shaft and two of the links I am talking about going in front of the telephone pole.
You can also see the vertical plates on the axle that go up to the top link which is orange.

The axle can move up and down, but not twist at all because of the links.
Same setup on the front axle so it can't twist either.
Those are 54" tractor tires on Rockwell axles with Lincoln lockers in both axles, which I have seen stuck.
