Need 2 inches of lift

I have a 96 F150 4x4. The rear springs and perches were redone before I purchased the truck. The result is the rear sits a few inches higher than the front. What do I need to do to get 2 inches of lift in the front end. My truck is set up with 4 shocks in the front. Is it possible to put larger coil springs in and longer shocks? If so where might I purchase what I need?

Thanks
Paul

If you don't mind a slightly stiffer ride, you can go with aftermarket F-250/350 2WD coils...they're a good bit cheaper than half-ton aftermarket lift springs. I gained 2 1/8" on the front of my '89 150 with the 300, so you might get a tad less with the V-8. And I used stock shocks up front...all four of 'em.

Downside is you might have to live with some camber issues, but then again, you might not...it's gonna be different on every truck. My alignment guy said my tires were tipped out at the top, despite his best efforts...but after 2000 miles, my front tires are wearing perfectly.

Hope this helps...
Pat

aurgathor is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
It is possible, but around 1.5" - 2.5" lift, the front end geometry goes off enough that it cannot be aligned any more. (that's why actual lift kits start at 2.5") Aside from the already mentioned F250 coil, you can use a set of Daystar spacers, or leveling coils made specifically for the F150/Bronco.

BTW, it's perfectly normal for the rear to be an inch or two higher than the front.
