Exclamation WHAT ELECTRIC BRAKES

2008 F-350 with tbc issues. when the trailer is pluged in, the controller lights up and the gain settings can be changed. when you go through the message center in the dash - scroll through to the tbc settings. the value on the gain is -0- and i can't change the value. ford did not even know it was there. oh yeh, my electric brakes don't. any thoughts.

for the 08's the message is there on the display but it is not used. I don't think so for the 09's either.

but I beleive in the 2010's you can use the display as well as the TBC itself to see the gain.

Do you cycle thru the message center and see it briefly pop-up?

If you hit the center button it should.

so it's only information that is non useable - thank you ford. anybody have an idea why i still don't get any current to the 7:00 pin on the connector when the brake is applied. yes i tested it with a trailer hooked up and i checked the fuse. still no electric brakes

what electric brakes

thank you for your response.
so at this point we know that the information on the dash is fords waste of time and another way to confuse the owner. so if i checked the fuse and adjusted the gain value to 10 and still don't have any power to the 7:00 o'clock pin on the connector for the trailer - why don't i have electric brakes. and yes i did check the fuse under the hood.
