Where has everyone run off to
Been busy with household projects. First I had to install new ceiling fans in all the upstairs rooms (and run new wiring for the wall switches -- the wife don't tolerate pull chains). Then I had to get my son's "big boy" room ready -- wainscoting, mouldings, built-in cabinets and bookshelves, and fresh paint. Then it was a new kitchen sink, disposal and instant-hot.
I busted my butt to get all of those projects done over the last month, because my deal with the wife is that I could take over the garage and be "left alone" once they were finished. She's already regretting that deal. Her truck is now sitting outside, and my '69 is sitting in the right bay, stripped to the firewall. The engine and trans came out on Friday (it's easier to remove them together, and the trans has a leak I need to fix), and I spent Saturday tearing down the engine. The bare block is now sitting on the stand waiting to be taken to the machine shop. Now I just need to come up with the money for the machinist....
