Question 239 Y Starter

Decided to rebuild the motor that was in the 55 1 Ton ice hauler. What options do I have converting the starter to 12 volt.

You don't need to. The 6 volt starter will work just fine on a 12 volt system. You just want to be careful not to turn it over too long (like over 8 to 10 seconds).
