ranger storage ideas

I have an opportunity to buy a 96 xl supercab 4wd auto ranger with 23,000 original miles on it. It looks and drives like new. The price will be around 4500 inspected.
I am getting rid of 88 f150 4wd regular cab 4.9 truck. I am concerned about space use, specifically the back seat area. It has jump seats, but I am looking for any covered storage ideas for this area that still allow occasionial seat use and can be removed easily. Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks

Covered storage in the back seat area...you mean like putting a box with a lid on the floor? Something with a lot of little compartments?

I bought one of those little plastic footlocker type of things. about 3 ft wide 15 inches deep (these are approximate. I had to put a rest under the front to make it level but if I need to use a jump seat it is easy enough to pull out and put into the bed. I use it to carry spare clothes for work (a just in case thing) spare safety shoes stuff like that. works pretty well. I also have a truck box in the back for tools and other misc stuff and to give me some secure storage for stuff that needs to be out of sight. I think they are called gorilla boxes or something like that run about $25 OR SO. Also you can store small items in the seat pockets in the cab. Keep the hitch and misc stuff like that in there, seats will still close up.

Hank and lone wolf, That is exactly what I am looking for. Something low profile that will hold various non-tool things.
I am thinking of taking the Weatherguard side boxes off my soon to be sold 88 F150 and putting them on the Ranger.
