rollinginmudgirl is starting off with a positive reputation.
flashing overdrive light???

I have a 1995 F250. A couple months after I bought the truck it started to blow fuses. When it would blow fuses however, the blown fuses would not coincide with the things that were wrong with it. Then alltogether one day it stopped blowing them. Now the overdrive light flashes at random times while I drive and it refuses to shift. Got any ideas??? Shift cellenoid??

Welcome to FTE ..

When I had the flashing OD light , it was the wiring to the VSS on top of the rear axle . If the light flashed , there will be a code stored in the PCM . May have to go to ford to get the codes read ...

I see a lot of this from the wiring in the shift lever, it is a solid wire with a thin insulation and the wire either brakes or the insulation chaffs through and shorts out. the only fix that is worth the time is a new shift lever from ford if this is the problem.

I do see a lot of the VSS / RABS sensors fail and / or go intermittent, but normally that will put the trans in limp mode or shift neck jerking hard.
