EGR Valve / Gasket Source / Price

Anyone have a lead on a good place to buy a EGR Valve / Gasket for a 6.0 PSD 2005 E-350?

Local dealer here wants close to $250.

05-07 EGR VALVE 6.0 FORD DIESEL 5C3Z-9F452-AA:eBay Motors (item 360194886767 end time Dec-01-09 12:44:23 PST)
This is where I purchased a egr valve. I also got a new set of gaskets. I cleaned my original egr valve and keep it in the tool box just in case it gives me any more problems. On a good note my original egr valve lasted 80k miles before it needed changing.

Do an EGR delete, your engine and your wallet will thank you.
I get smog checked and it passes every time.

Bob:

I am getting the following:

- occasional (P0404, 0405 low voltage).

- I clear it, and it comes back

--------------

Operating...

Occasional --- engine would bog down (like white smoke coming out of pipe, absolutely no power i.e. barely enough power to move vehicle 10mph.. then it spools up... and it clears.)

I would.... stop the motor, take a deep breath... and wait.. and in all instances, the problem "cleared" on its own.. thought the code may come on... and have to be cleared with the OBDII code reader.

I am considering the EGR and EGR cooler delete.

The problem is, technically, where I am, there is an inspection by mechanics and they CAN lift your plates for that mod.

Also under consideration: stealth EGR delete plate.

Which kit / supplier do you recommend?

Bobs

In my case, it is not just with a cold start...

This happens when I restart engine after a long enough run to completely warm it up...

So something is up... I suspect it must be loaded with carbon.

Simple fix for this is getting an SCT and having it turned off period. It will not come up as a code anymore. My EGR valve is still in place just for looks but its been turned off by the tuner for over 4 years now and no problems, I also have the EGR delete kit but I did mine completely different since there wasnt kits out then I did my own. There are aftermarket EGR coolers for your guys that have that inspected Seems to be running well since they changed the internals around completely from a stock version. google bullet proof diesel
