Since everyone here has been SO informative and helpful to me,I thought I might throw another stupid question out there.
I want to put my truck "in the weeds".I saw a picture of a blue 63' onthe net with a super hot chick standing nex to it,the truck has stickers on the door and moon discs on the wheels. This is similar to what I want my truck to sit like. The hood of the truck is at about the same height as the chick's butt.It looks like it has stock size wheels.
I am a good fabricator and am not afraid to do some "hackin" and weldin' if I have to.
I just want to do this as cheap as I can but also want it safe.(at least mostly safe)
Thanks again you guys, you are all the best!!
You can also send your stock ones out to have them altered as well for less $$$ or buy new ones. Check Gangsters profile I believe he has some pics in his gallery covering what he did to his.

a few more years and they both will sag. My buddy keeps telling me to heat the leafs (of the truck) and drop the front end. I keep telling the kid, I want (it) to stand proud. Any way, heating the springs is cheap, I don't know how well it works.
F/ about 50 bucks a piece, you can get reversed eye main leafs and drop it quite abit. I lowered mine about 15 years ago. I also installed a Ford 9" rear and removed afew leafs, not that you need another rear end to lower the rear of the truck. You can extend the shackles on the rear and drop it some more. In fact, a spring shop can make you a single leaf from heavier stock that will support your truck and by eliminating leafs, inturn dro the truck more. It's not expensive. The higher-dollar way is to get dropped spindles and front axle, too hig f/ me and takes from the original set-up. Bob's F-100 Shop in Calif. is probably still in business. I sent f/ a catalog and the info on dropping the truck is right in it. They also use the Toyota steering box, the one from the older 4x4 pick-ups w/ the solid front axle housing, to replace the original, and it works well.
Good Luck. Any questions, just drop me a line.
