2001 lost power

I have an 01 7.3 with a strange problem. It runs fine at idle and low speeds, but skips and shakes if you try to accel quickly. I had it scanned today, but nothing really showed up. While looking I cleaned the harness to the valve covers and pulled the icp plug to find oil in it. I replaced the icp sensor, but still the same. Also looked at all hoses etc... The only codes I get are 470,472,473, and 478. I disassembled the sender and pipe and cleaned everything well. All but the 478 went away. I checked the ebv linkage and it is against the stop and moves freely. The longer the truck runs the better it runs, but never gets all better. The fuel pressure runs at 75psi and doesn't waiver when you punch it. Once the truck has been driven a few miles it feels like it will go, but you punch it, it goes like hell for a second (black smoke) then falls off fast (no smoke). Of course all filters have been changed and fresh rotella tonight. #8 injector not contributing came up in scan, but passed electircal test. Also icm failed twice, but later passed. Any ideas? This truck runs veggie alot, so I believe it to be fuel related, injector o-rings, or hpop? Runs much better on veg than diesel. Yesterday would not crank on diesel at 50 degrees. Got cps in the spring from ford.

ane ideas on this?

Are there any narrow passages that could be blocked in the fuel system past the factory filter housing?
