351M bolt patttern

Does the 351M have a big block bolt pattern or the small block? reason for asking is there is one for sale in my area and I want to put it in my f150 with the m5r2.

Thanks in advance!

It has the 385 big block pattern--370/429/460. No M5R2s in that pattern afaik. ZF trans yes, but not the Mazda box.

You replacing another 351M?

No I am replacing my 300 six with a V8 and found a 351M for sale on craigslist and wasn't sure if it would bolt up to my trans

FWIW, I would upgrade the six before I fooled with this swap. Stock for stock, the 300 wins against the 351M.
