Before you add Lucas oil additive on your next oil change you should read this article. BOB Is The Oil Guy

MadogLlewellyn is starting off with a positive reputation.
Another additive you can use is Amsoil.... They have some good additives... I started using them in my 2000 7.3L.... It runs better than it ever did.... I'd say DieselKleen is the next best thing for fuel additive. I used it before trying Amsoil fuel additives.

I also live in Indiana and noticed the mpg's drop the last 2x fillups.... they've already started wintering the fuel up here I think.

I just replaced both my fuel filters (the OEM one plus the 2nd one that is part of the ITP In-Tank kit, i.e. the Hutch mod) and so far my mileage looks to have jumped back up! I did fuel up at a station I never fill up at, and sadly is 80miles from the house. Hope it's not the fuel....

My point is that for me (I'm hoping) that changing my fuel filters may have been exactly what was needed. Hopefully this will be true for you as well. Keep us posted!!

Thanks for the info and especially for the Bob the oil guy link. I will let you know what the #s look like at my next fillup. Do many psd owners use the amsoil fuel additive?

I think most here use PowerService DieselKleen (gray bottle) in the summer and PS Anti-Gel (white bottle) in the winter. I run it with every tank here. I know we DON'T switch to winter fuel here in North Texas, so I use the white stuff in the winter, just because the weather is so fickle. It could be 50 one day, and 20 the next...
