Questions About Finding A Brand New, Never Been Sold 2007 Ford F250/350!
Hello there,
Does anyone know where the pickup trucks go if they are never sold off of the dealer's lot?
For example, I really want a 2007 Ford F-250/F-350 -- 4x4 -- regular cab, long bed -- with the 6.0L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel.
Here's the thing: I want a 2007 model that is brand new, never been sold with like 50 miles on it. I want to keep away from the new, highly emissioned 6.4L and 6.7L (coming out in 2011) diesel engines. I'm all for loud, whistling diesel engines and I'm 100% anti-green.
Kevin I not saying it's impossible, but the odds are against you. Your only hope would probably be to search local paper listings and see if some old couple purchased it and park in the garage for years and now need space don't laugh that's how I came across my super duty Trans Am from a retired librarian that's right a librarian LOL she didn't even know what she had the dealer told her it was a reliable car for the wintertime OMG some dealers should be horse whipped ;-). The other problem you're going to find most the time the rebate programs inspire people to wait and buy the leftover stock not to mention it's a work truck and not a sports car most contractors are looking for a good deal but I wish you luck you never know maybe there's a librarian waiting for you take care

There is no such place. They eventually all get sold. They get discounted until they end up under someone's butt. You may accidently stumble up on something that old, but I highly doubt it. A dealer that lets a new truck sit around that long is probably not a very good dealer and won't last long. I don't think you have a snowball's chance in hell of finding a brand new one. I would get on autotrader and find a low mileage used one. If you don't mind traveling you could probably find exactly what you want, with the exception of the 50 miles part.
I found a number of new '07 PSD in CA a few months back, only catch is every one was 2wd and most had utility boxes on them. I was looking for a 4wd Cab and Chassis but never found any 4wd's. The prices were fantastic just too bad they were 2wd's, IIRC they were in the mid to low $20K's. Most were F450 and F550's as that is also what I wanted. Do a search on truckpaper.com and they should come up if they are still available.
If the 2007 truck is still on any dealership's lot, then you should be able to find it by inquiring at your local dealership. Every dealership has access to nation-wide inventory search tools... the dealership may not "want" to do the search but they definitely "can" do the search.

Garndog, I'd take a 7.3L Power Stroke (with the turbo) in a heartbeat. But, from what I read in other posts, I would need a miracle for someone (forget the dealer) to keep a 1994 - 2002 Ford Super Duty with very low mileage (from 25,000 miles to brand new with 50-100 miles on it). It would be awesome to see one though.
I wish I was born earlier than 1987 and be 18 years old in the 1980's to see the old Ford pickup trucks from the 1980's (and then eventually the 1990's) brand new, all lined up on the dealer's lot when they first came out. Now, a lot of them are tired iron and rusted/rotted out or they're with a plow frame and a plow.

Radium, you're right. The odds are definitely against me. I figure a 2007 model because they're only two years old. Also, I'm guessing that coming across a 2007 model from an old couple (lol) is also hard to come by too. They're out there -- it's just you have to find them when they're listed (obviously).
I'll have to keep searching. I just wished there was a real easy way such as finding a link to an auction (other than eBay and AutoTrader) where they sell the old trucks (with pictures and a good description).

I think you will have to do some searching on the internet though and may have to travel to go see it and get it.
Senix, that's exactly how I want to find my 2007 -- in the back lot of a dealer who kept the left overs. Too bad I can't build my own 2007 from the factory anymore, lol. I'm two years too late. I'm strict about the options in my truck. I have a list of options that I want on the truck. And, if one of them is not there (such as roof lamps), then I don't want the truck. It seems that every truck I look at there always seems to be one option that I like that is left out.
I'm trying to find an organized auction site that has a lot of Ford trucks to be sold on it (besides eBay and AutoTrader). Websites such as Craigslist are very unorganized and shady.

I.B. Washincars, before I posted my original post, I thought it was the opposite. I thought that it was almost impossible for the dealer's to sell every single Ford Super Duty that was made. I would have figured that there has to be a good number of left overs especially for 2005, 2006, or 2007 since the economy was better than the current times and more dealers had more trucks on the lots. I would have also thought there would be this huge parking lot where all the left overs go or an auction where all the left overs go.
I just see it as an awesome challenge to see if I can find an old Ford Super Duty that is brand new that was never sold. I see it as a hard and awesome challenge, but I want to beat the challenge and find the truck, lol.

Galaxie641, I'll check out truckpaper.com.
Also, I know what you mean when you are trying to find what you 100% want, but there is always something on the truck that you don't want. Also, there is always something off of the truck that you really wish was on the truck.
Now, I see a lot of 2005-2007 Super Duties with 6.0L Power Strokes, but they have 2wd or they have dump bodies/rack bodies for landscaping. I just want to take their cab and put a 8' pickup bed to it.

HeavyAssault, I agree with you. Even if I do find a truck that does not have a truck body on it, I'm looking for a single rear Ford Super Duty 250/350. I don't really need the duallies. And every single truck without the bed usually has the duallies to add on a dump body/rack body.

Furian, thanks for the information. I'll look into that and see what they can find. In the meantime, I'll keep on searching for good websites that have well organized auctions.
I want to keep away from the new, highly emissioned 6.4L and 6.7L (coming out in 2011) diesel engines. I'm all for loud, whistling diesel engines and I'm 100% anti-green.

that is awesome. just added that to my sig
and as for your question, like everyone else said, i highly doubt you will find one. however, i might add that my dad found an 03 mustang mach 1 in 2006 with only 200 miles on it. still had the paper covering (whatever its called) on the floor mats. so if you look long enough you never know what you'll find.

An '07 that's been sitting that long unused is probably gonna need a new turbo as the vanes are probably rusted together. Probably have to drop the fuel tank and drain it, change the fuel filters, God knows what condition the engine oil is in.
While it sounds like something like that would be a killer find, most vehicles don't take well to sitting unused that long, especially 6.0 PSD's. Maybe if it was stored in a climate-controlled warehouse, but I doubt you're gonna find anything like that.

Not to mention important things like transmission seals, gaskets, air conditioning seals and radiator hoses.
It's have to be very steeply discounted for me to even consider it.
