The truck was real rough until about 2500rpm when it would take off and hit 3000rpm. As for fuel pressure before the bb mod it was 30-40 at idle and putting in the bb put it at 50-70 at idle.

I think the injectors are single shot if you are right about that as I have replaced this pump.

What do you think about doing o-rings and new plungers to up the injector volume in a diy kit or do send them in and have them done... I was looking at the rosewood stuff.

currently the truck has the 10k mod, the bb, 6637 and is about to get the ebpv delete, 3" dp followed by it looks like an injector job.

Whats the story on the y pipes? Can I build one that works better than the stock 99 one?

I guess I would have to ohm the oil temp sensor and compare it to a known good one. could be that. It seems that some days when it is cold the truck starts and has a bit of a high idle and other days it creeps to life.

ok well with what you said about the reving my bet is down on the injector o-rings. you can do the injectors yourself, but allow a full day with the injectors on a bench to build them. it takes a good little while and you want to take your time and make sure it all goes together correctly. if you don't wanna do that i would just call jim, have him send you injectors, then send yours back after you change them. he will then charge you for anything that may have been wrong internally on your injectors i think.

Sounds good. What do you think of the rosewood stage one kit with machined pieces? do you have a contact for Jim?

i used to run the DIY stage 1's in my truck. you can see in my sig what i ran on the dyno with them. they put down some pretty good numbers. i liked them a lot and they are a HUGE improvement over a truck with stock injectors and a chip. only thing is in order to notice a difference with them you HAVE to have a chip on them other wise they will run just like stock injectors. i believe the diy kit is like around $450 w/ machined intensifier pistons. probably the best value in terms of power for your money that you can get IMO.

Well that is probly what I will do. I sent Jim a quick messge. I just drove. 600 some miles to western canada over the last 16hrs. I have to say I am very excited to get the injectors fixed as I think it will fix all the complaints I have with the power in the truck. I am not to excited about pulling all the injectors and leaving the truck sit opened up. Hope I can do all the work myself and that the poppets haven't worn too much.

i would at least just ask how much more it would be if he built them. might be worth it to let him do it just b/c of the down time and chance of worn poppets???? just a suggestion

After looking at what he offers and the down time issue I will probly go for the new stage ones. Then rebuild the old ones later for another truck. I would like to find a 4x4 xc/cc long box 97 for my every day truck. check this one out though: 1995 Ford Centurion Conversion Dually Powerstroke 3 rows of seating! One sweet machine. I can't imagine trying to steer that thing around the block!
