What Trans. do i have

I have a 1983 bronco 4x4 with a 302 how can i tell the difference between the a c-4 and a c-6 thanks for any of your alls help

c4 has a little bitty pan and a c6 has a huge pan. little i mean 10 inch by 10.

Rockauto only shows parts for a C-6 for the 1983 5.0L Automatic trans Bronco.

that doesn't mean that someone didn't change out the c-6 for a c-4.

Thanks for the link. But it left me wondering, do any of the OD automatics have lockup torque converters?
