Hail dent removal

My 1999 Explorer was in a hail storm when it was new. The original owner didn't do anything about it. It has moderate damage on the hood and roof. I am wanting to repair the dents that are on the hood as I think it would help it's future resale value. What would be the cheapest way to repair these dents. I'm a mechanic on flat-rate pay.

Thank you!

If its not many dents you might see how much a paintless dent repair guy costs. If that's too much, an inexpensive aftermarket hood and scuff and shoot paint job might be the least expensive route if you plan on selling it.

I just bought it. I was just wanting to make it look nicer. I thought there might be some body repair tool that I could get to fix the dents.

The dents aren't very close together. They are all scattered around the hood and roof.

Usually quite inexpensive . I use the PDR tools for regular dent repair , , most times when done , the dent only needs sanding or grinding (broken Paint) , the pros come to my shop a lot , It is amazing what they can repair..
