Boost Limiting???

ok truck is a 2006 f350 6.0 I have a sct programmer on it. and i was wondering why you cant get much past 20# boost. no matter what program i cant get past that. is it the turbo oris it like a plate limiting boost? never asked about it thanks

What does that mean " no matter what program"?
Which program you're running? I don't think they have a boost limit in them.

Yeah what tune are you running? The tunes I run will hit 30 and then drop down and I'm pretty sure the tune is limiting the boost which suits me just fine. Might be your tune or some sticking vanes or you got a leak. Any unusual noises?

was just previoulsy running the power tune from sct and no i have the street tune on. no unusual noises

no matter what program meaning the tunes they give you any of them

so ya i dont know what it could be is there places i should look for a leak or ways how to

Is your cooler deleted or do you have the EGR valve unplugged?

flash i dont know what you are talking about. and the egr system untouched. plan on buying the liberator delete kit soon. but ya today after i got the oil changed and still not much over 20# so i dont know.

Same truck, same programmer - never more than 20-22# of boost. Recently installed 4" exhaust and gained 8-10# of boost. Factory exhaust is that restrictive.

wow that is horrible. so what can you touch for boost now? looking at putting the egr delete then stacks that should open up alot more. thanks for the info

I had the same problem, the vanes on the turbo were sticking.
Ford did the updated housing, cleaning and I did a CCV reroute
to keep things clean. I hit 30-32 psi easy.

dont want to cross threads maybe a little info here what the ccv reroute is but somebody pm me the details and maybe a how to. ya when i get the new exhaust on i will let you know i believe the exhaust will be a 4 inch dp with 4 inch pipe to two 6 inch mitre stacks behind the cab 36 inches long
