04 250 PSD ride improvements

I would like give my 04 250 psd 4x4 the same stance as a 350. I'm aware of the rear blocks size difference. Can someone give me an online source for the all the parts needed to add them? I also want to add firestone riderite airbags front and rear. I know the part numbers are the same for the 250/350 bags. Is the front stance the same on the 250 as the 350? I know I hear alot of the 350 guys saying there truck is nose heavy. So is there something I can put up front to keep it level? I want to make sure that adding these items is an improvement in handling. I understand it will stiffen the ride some. I tow a 14k GN trailer and want the truck to sit the same loaded as unloaded. I'm also adding some stock size bf goodrich mud terrain km2's. I recently replaced the steering box due to the wander that kept getting worse even though the front end was almost completly new. I have alot of bump steer and was thinking that some sort of dual steering dampner will help. I'm going to do all the installation myself, and while I'm mechanically inclined but this will be the first time with upgrades as I usualy do the routine maintenance only. So I'm looking for all the suggestions input I can get. Thanks

Matt

why put the bags up front? F350 blocks and U-Bolts out back, plus a leveling kit up front with good shocks (Bilsteins) at all 4corners will be a big improvement.

Good question, I've been kicking around the idea of putting a Fisher Extreme vee plow on the truck and the diesel is heavy enough so I figured the air bags would be a good idea. Could I just add the the air bags in the front and forget the leveling kit?

I agree with Robby's suggestions. You could add the bags but it may make the ride considerably harsher. Remember a quality alignment as well as tire balance is crucial for handling. Make sure you choose a high end shop specializing in truck alignment, their far and few between.

The Bilsteins or quality gas shock will also stiffen the ride from the stockers but will significantly increase control.

Icon offers a high quality steering stabilizer at a cost or go with a cheeper but quality kit like the Rough country.

So where can I order the needed items online? I what is the best choice for the frontend leveling kit? I'd like to order the items soon, I'll order the hd bilstens also. I looked on the Rough Country site and it looks like the dual steering dampner is the best choice. I'm a bit unsure in the rear blocks and hardware. Is it just the blocks longer ubolts and nuts? Or is there more involved? How long should it take to replace them? I figure I'll try and get the blocks, shocks and airbags in at the same time. Then the next day I'll add the front shocks and new dampner.

This may seem like a stupid questions. But I want to order the bilstiens too, the part numbers are different for the 250's than the 350's and since I'll have the 350 stance I should order the 350 shocks right? I'll wait to order them to someone here can confirm this for me. Thanks

F250 and F350 shocks should be the same... If you want just order F350 shocks just to be safe... I have the Rough Country Dual Stab Kit, It is a very nice piece, got it from www.Autotrucktoyz.com

as for leveling kit.. check out Jegs or Summit, maybe even 4wheelparts.com, there prolly gonna be a little more $$ tho.

I thought the shocks would be the same too but I went to several different online sites and there different. I also checked the bilstien site which lift different part numbers. I ordered the blocks, bolts and nuts from forddirect today. They were out of bolts but said they'll ship them tommorrow. I wanted to order the shocks but wanted to check since I found the different part numbers. The rough country kit looks pretty good. I see there's a shackle kit for the front, but also see the add a leaf option. I'm leaning towards the add a leaf. Any suggestion? I'm also struggling on the tire size. I was going to go with 285/75/r16 with my stock rims, I'd really like to see how they'll look but can't find any pics. I could also get them in my stock 265/70/r16. If anyone has the KM2's mounted on them I pic would be great.
