Talking 17* pump is finally in!

Finally got her in today. Lookin good for leakage as well. Took some cranking to get her to roll, but she pulls pretty good now. On a side note, I ordered the Sky Manufacturing shackle reversal kit. That's all I need to finish my 4x4 conversion.
I'll keep you posted. I'm also prepping for the IC install. Just need to make some mounts. Gettin the PMS shakes pretty bad now......

Did you take it for a "test drive" yet?

I hear money, lots of money and time is the best cure your shakes.

It was a fairly easy swap. It took my son and I most of the morning. It would have been tough without Cody's (Rubberduck) writeup. As for the test run, I hit just over 120 on the gravel and she was still pulling when I backed out. I was surprised that the EGT weren't too bad. Never got over 1100. Maybe after I get the IC and everything set up, I'll take her for a solid 'HOT' run on pavement instead of just playing around.
Dually, as for your cure for the shakes, my wife says, "I don't want to hear that."

Has anyone ever done the 15 to 17 HPOP upgrade and not been happy with the result? I have a 17 sitting on the shelf waiting for some free time, but there's always a little bit of risk pulling a part that work in favor of an unknown part.

I went from the 15 to 17 and really didn't notice all that much. The bucking at higher RPM's was not as bad but still there. That was on stock sticks.

Redone1, I pre-converted my numbers for you Southern folk. I did mean 120 mph (200 kph) on gravel. She was really flying!!! Not pulling quite as hard as I had hoped, but I did put in a used 17* as opposed to new or aftermarket. Still considerably better than before.

Nope, just the speedo. I kinda forgot about the GPS. I'll have to dig it out of the boat and try that.
