When did they put the 05 engine in the Ex?

I know I saw a thread here not to long ago about when they started to put the 05 diesel in the 05 Ex.

Anyone seen it?
Thanx.....

You could be the proud owner of a 7 year 200K warranty.

The 7 years would be nice but I only have 25k on the Ex so I will never get to 200k, Maybe if I start driving now......

Ford is/was selling an additional warranty for the 6.0s for 7 years or 200,000 miles. Covered items varied on whether you purchased prior to having 100,000 miles on truck. Any Ford dealer could sell the warranty and people were getting them for around $1,500 if they shopped a little.

That's a more palatable price point. Fall of 2008 the dealer offered it @ ~$1900. Went to a meeting in September with an International rep and they started quoting $2900 but if you buy today $2700. Almost choked on the the 'free' dinner I had just finished.

Where can I find a $1500 warranty?
