Vibrations when i let off the gas

Fellas,
When i let off the gas i get a lot of vibration at higher speeds. As long as i am accelerating, the only vibration i get is when at 55 and higher, that is the c6 and 4.10's though. Kind of a new issue that only seems to present itself when slowing from higher speeds, like when you crest a hill and let off the accelerator. Any ideas? Driveline U Joints?

I would change them all, if one is going bad the others will most likely soon follow. They are not expensive, you will have all the tools out etc. You will also know that you got the bad one. Nothing worse then changing the wrong part and having to do it all over again.

I dont know about you guys, but the rearmost one seems to wear out faster than the others. Since i put a greasable u joint in, its lasted longer, but its starting to vibrate again.....

so now here is an odd scenario, i climbed underneath to check it out and i looked at both the u joints, well i happened to notice that the rubber seal that is right at the yoke that goes into the transfer case was pushed back, and there is a sleeve of sorts that pushed it out. A thin metal sleeve that wont go back in. WTF is that?

I wonder if you are describing a speedi sleeve. Those are intended to work as a seal repair on shafts that have a wear groove right on the spot that the seal is supposed to ride on. They are supposed to be interference fit right on the shaft but if I'm right this one is loose and sliding off.

A picture would help if you have a cell phone camera or equivalent.

yeah i guess, it is thicker. Is the little break in that one to show the old wear and tear? haha just checking. Also i found out that i had like 1/2inch of play in the rear driveshaft ujoint but the new ones that i bought at lordco are too damn big? WTF, they said that is all they had when i called on the phone, for the f350. As mutt as this thing is, i am now wondering if the driveshaft is different? Although the new u joint didnt even fit in the yoke of the diff. Are the F250 sizes different than F350? could we have it narrowed to an F250? it has the 4in risers under the springs in the back. I am friggin lost and now i have a truck outta commission!!!!! AAAAHHH

U joints should be the same for an F350 and an F250. My truck is a 93, but if i order u joints i have to get ones for a 92, otherwise they wont fit. The manufacture date on mine is 10/92 so im guessing thats why. Take a look at yours, you might have a similar situation.

The f250, 350 and fullsize broncos (at least the 80's broncos) all had the same larger u-joints. I found this out when I did my swap, I was able to reuse my double cardone joint rear drive shaft.
