Opinions on custom inner fenders??

I need new inner fenders. Anybody have any opinions or experience with custom inner fenders? I have fiberglass front fenders. I haven't drilled any attachment holes in them yet, and from what I see of the custom inners, they might not have holes either? I have a TCI chassis running a TCI Mustang II front suspension with a 2" drop. So, tell me your good and bad experiences with custom inners. Also, please tell me where you bought yours from so that I can either do likewise or avoid said fenders. Thanks!

Here's the link to my build thread for those who are curious.

I have a MII front suspension with a drop and just installed custom inner fenders that I purchased from HOTRODSTRUCKS located here in Ohio. I really like the look of the inner fenders however I hated cutting them out for the suspension. Over all I am satisfied with the look and would do it again.

I purchased a set of aluminum inner fenders for my F1 from No Limit.I could not figure out how they would fit my truck.I called No limit and they told me that they fit but could not tell me how. They also said I could send them back but I would have to pay shipping and a substancial dollar restocking fee.I paid 399 plus shipping for the inners so by the time I paid their fees and shipping I did not feel it was worth it to send them back.

MA115, thanks for the response and pictures. I like the way those look. I'll brace myself for the cutting! I'm getting ready to buy a set from Hot Rod's. They now carry two types. One that is a lighter gauge of steel and has holes pre-drilled for $199 a pair. and the other is a heavier gauge of steel for I believe she said $279 a pair(the catalog only shows a pair for $219 a pair that has holes). I'm guessing yours did not have the pre-drilled holes? Can I ask if you gave $219 a pair so that I know which ones you have?

WayneS-thanks for posting. That's also the information that I was trying to get. Thanks for saving me some misery!

I used the ones from Hot Rod's custom Trucks in Ohio as well. Took a bit of screwing around to figure how they are supposed to fit, but quite happy with them and the appearance.

Carnut122, I got the older one that was not pre drilled and the cost was $275. I do get to cheat because I only live about 30 minutes from HotRodsTrucks so I just drive up and pick it up...save on shipping!

Ferguson777 and ma115 _ Thanks! I just ordered a pair this evening. I'll be picking them up from the Moultrie, GA swap meet in a couple of week-ends. I odered the lighter gauge ones, but they said that if they had the other ones, I could pay to "up-grade"- we'll see???
