SD Diesel engines?

I just ran my vin number, and I am somewhat surprized by the information that this check showed.

1. My engine was made by International??? Is this info correct????

2. Wheel Axles Wheelbase 328.6" ????. Something is wrong here, is this a STREGTH SD???? I sure hope I am reading this wrong.

The site is listed as www.fleet ford.com/maintenance/vin tools/vinresult.asp?

Houston, we have a problem, due here in 7 days or less, per information just received for the dealer.

Tia,
Don

Yes, ironically the SD engines are manufactured by International. Wheelbase question, don't know.

All 6.0 and 6.4 Diesel engines are made by International.
The new 6.7 Scorpion motor will be made by Ford

Actually, all previous Ford pickup diesel engines, including the 6.9L, 7.3L, 6.0L and 6.4L are made by International.

Thanks Guys for the information.

I just checked the Vin# a second time, using the site that Bpounds gave and the information came back the same.

My BIG concern is the wheel base measurement of 328.6" ?? This HAS TO BE A MISTAKE.

The longest measurement for the crewcab long wheel base is only 172.4".

I hope that the information given on the vin check is Wrong, as I ordered a CC short box which should be only 156.2", per the 09 spec sheet.

What Ford PU could be this be at 328.6" for wheelbase? (None that I know of).
Is a F-450 or F-550 this long?? I don't know anything about them.
Maybe a Semi 18Wh Tractor???
Right now I am

TIA,
Don

Real trucks also have 18 wheels, can tow much more than 10,000 lbs. and go 40k between oil changes. Guess you don't have a real truck.

Hey PD

At this time I am NOT SURE what I have yet.
But, I do know that it is a FORD and that is ALL that matters, so far.

If this new one holds up half as good as the the OLD 73 250, (390 w/386,000+ miles on it and still working), then I call this SD Diesel a REAL TRUCK.
Tia,
Don

RickF92592,
This measurement is smaller than a regular cab F-350 which shows at 137.0" wheelbase.

Maybe it is a Ford Tonka PU (Ranger) that has not growed up yet,
Tia,
Don
