idfergusson is starting off with a positive reputation.
I have a similar truck that i am working on but it is green with a black topper.I picked it up for cheap as the A4LD only works in 1st gear but I have another transmission from a 93 Explorer I recently parted out.

I have been looking for another Explorer that needs work but it seems the good deals are always somewhere other than Regina.

Any up dates on your 84 yet?
It's still sitting in the backyard, but I think it might be a cheaper fix than I originally anticipated. With the truck running, and without stepping on the clutch, I can move the shifter through 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 5th. That has me guessing its a shift rail problem. Means the transmission still has to come out though.

As for the '84, I haven't done anything to it for a while now. It always seemed either dad or myself were working on the weekend. And half the point is to go out and spend some time with him. It seems as if I'll be getting every other Saturday off at work now, so I should be able to get more done. Although now that fall is almost through, the original rush I had in the summer to get it done has faded away as I won't be driving it in the winter. Not that I'd want to anyway, WAY too little traction.

Good stuff Trevor, let us know how your progress on that 84 goes, I find it very interesting.
Unless we get alot of snow I`m looking forward to a rather quiet winter.

I just bought a temporary license for it today, so I'm going to try and get it home after the Wheaites game tomorrow. I don't think it'll hurt it at all, since it moves fine in 4th gear. It'll sure take some life off the clutch though!! That'll get replaced when the tranny is out though, so I'm not worried bout that.

A wheaties fan, uh oh! Brandon used to be my mortal enemy when I lived in prince albert. Watched some classic fights between Jordan Tootoo and Grant McNeill back in the day.
