Question Door lock issue...

Today I took my passenger side door panel off today to replace a bad door lock switch...when I saw how easy it was to remove the panel, I decided to dake the driver side panel off to see why the door lock knob was missing and the door wouldn't lock. To my suprise, I found the door lock actuator as well as the knob were both absent ! That explained a lot !

Well, I suppose I should throw a door lock actuator in ther, eh ? My question is this; What actuator should I order for a '98 Explorer Sport ? Are they all the same ? It also looks like some of the rods in there are missing as well. This is my first time monkeying with a power door lock actuator, so I might need some step-by-step instructions too...

Thanks ! ! !

Scott

Go on FleaBay and buy a generic lock actuator,
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Universal-5-Wire-...item5636a6e923.

There are many listed, I have no affiliation with this vender, example only

I installed 2 of them 6 yrs ago and they have worked flawlessly.
