Just the prelude to Ford becoming the no. 1 automaker again, great days are ahead for Ford.

Lets just hope success, does not breed complacency.

no government help is the reason. GM had 2 bailouts and now is asking for a third.

Unfortunately for GM, their years of building junk like the Cavalier and Sunfire are catching up to them now. The market is flooded with those cars, which could be had for $4000 when they were 2-3 years old! Now nobody trusts their small cars. Hell, my dad's '03 Cavalier has been through three sets of front wheel bearings.

Ford has done very well in investing & selling off, and they road this [passing] recession rather well. They have also done an excellent job of refreshing/updating their product lines while bringing new found levels of quality control into every level of production & post-production. I have been preaching that for a couple years now, but it really is good to see some of these articles. I know a few people that have been die-hard [insert auto manufacturer's name] fans, that are now questioning that loyalty.

Here is another refreshing Ford article:

Ford moves up in Consumer Reports reliability rankings -- latimes.com
