No pressure on coolant overflow res. cap

I would think that the cap would be under pressure? 12-16 psi cap just comes off while the engine is hot. any suggestions.

I've taken mine off hot several times in the last 2 weeks while flushing the sytem. It will release some air but it does not overflow or shoot out of the cap like some vehicles will do.

You have a leak in the system which is preventing pressure from building up.
