FARM69 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Mine does the same thing Neal if I got her wound up and towing, running around 15-20 pounds of boost. It surges like you described.

I'm thinking it's the oil supply... I'm still running the 15 degree pump... That thing has to be over-taxed!

That is good to know. This is good info to have. I guess if we are going to build these trucks and use them accordingly we just need to man up and get BIG oil.

I agree. I can even feel it during aggressive throttle use as well. If you get into pretty good and maintain it acts like it decels for a second then hits it again.

I think I'm going to go with the Adrenaline pump. It sounds like that should be able to keep the sticks happy.

Exclamation

With your mods I bet is the HPOP, you need an adrenaline pump.

Just to add my 2 cents. I'm runing my 15* still and the same thing is going on as Farm69. To clarify my thoughts though...The hpop may be over taxed and not throw a CEL??

I've only thrown one CEL and that was mashing the pedal from a stop and taking it up to 70 mph. But I can't imagine my little pump is flowing enough oil for these injectors in daily driving and towing conditions.

I would like to see if swapping your chip back makes a difference. From what I understand, oil needs are affected by programming.

You should be able to get AE to run on your rig, probably a setting somewhere. My rig is older and the OBD works with my scanguage.

I just spoke with AE. I need to change a setting that was not described in th esetup. I will hopefully get some numbers today on the way home.

I spoke with Bob about his Adrenaline, also talked with his wife both extensively.
While the adrenaline will help our situation the adrenaline is on the upper end of what it will supply with the 180cc singles. We all agreed that the adrenaline will do OK but more oil would be best.

I am thinking Terminator, but my wallet is thinking "stay with the 17° you have Neal" !!!!

Lots of debate between Bob and DP lately about oil and tuning to add fuel to the fire.

Yeah. I don't think DP and them have the same views or opinions to say the least.
Where is this debate going on?

I can't get Bob to sell the Overdrive at all. He has pulled it off the market pending more testing.

I just read the entire thread at PSN on this. It looks like Bob is going to Jody's to see if they have a solution to the problem on the 00-03 psd's.

After reading through all of that thread, I am convinced that Bob has a great product,(Adrenaline), and will stand behind his work.

Well some more results. I got AE up online and ran some numbers.
The truck runs great now.

I got on it somewhat today and the pump will definately deliver 3145 psi. It ran up to about 78% duty cycle at WOT. That is definately alot but the pump is holding up. Otherwise it runs about 20 - 30 % and 2000 psi.

What do you guys think.
That is driving empty. I will not have an oportunity to tow the camper for a few weeks. I will get those numbers later.
