Help, vibration after install

Ok my tranny went out, metal shavings and bearings in the pan.
E4OD 4x2 94 f150

I am on a tight budget so I found a used tranny and decided to install myself.

I used my old tourque converter and the used tranny.

We took it for a test drive a I have a very bad vibration when in gear
and stopped, like at a stop sign. If I put it in park or neutral it goes away.

So...

Is the used tranny bad?

Was my TC damaged when my tranny went out and no good?

Did I install something wrong?

Did the Gods of fate decide something else should go wrong at the same time?

Please help, any ideas or suggestions are appreciated

thanks
Don

You used your old TC? You take it apart and clean all the metal etc that was in it out? The same stuff that was in the pan?

As for the vibration, could be the TC, could be a bent flex plate damaged in the install, could be the trans.

Just like the other guy said.
Did you ever think that the whole cause of the metal in your first transmission was because the torque converter crapped out? Maybe and maybe not, but just a heads up.
That was a huge mistake, if you had metal in the pan then you need to clean the oil cooler and the torque converter, if you don't your just ruining what ever else you install into your truck, new, used or rebuilt transmission.

Any crap that was in the old tc, lines & cooler would go right back in the new trans when the engine was started up.

When the old tranny died I drained the whole system, pan, TC and Lines
Dropped the pan to put in new filter and found the metal.

I assumed (We all know what that means) the filter would have kept debris
from the rest of the system.

Can you take a TC apart to clean? Looks like it is sealed.

Is there any way to test TC to see if it is the problem?

Where do I get a new flex plate?
Do they need to be ballanced?
Is it just a ford dealer part?

Is there any way to test which part is the problem, flex plate, TC, trans?

Thanks
Don
