Hello to all, Im new here and still finding my way around.
Just thought i would see what you think about a sraight pipe will it give me more power or loose it. Also ive just read what people thought about the edge tuner I have one with the Attitude controler. I keep it on the mileage setting. Let me know what you think please. Its got to go into Fords in the morning for an injector or two, not sure why they failed i do all i should do.
Thanks for your time..........
yes on the strait pipe. you will gain a little power but lower exhaust temps is the best thing about it. Ditch the edge. Edge doesn't care about your truck just advertising big numbers. They will kill your trany and blow head gaskets. Do a search and you will find lots of info on here.

Who needs a radio when you got a turbo diesel?
The only difference between o bama and osama is BS.

I have mine straight piped. The biggest thing i like is the sound and the whistle of the turbo. The lower egt's is a big plus also. Everthing else is stock.
you can gut the cat but you should run a pipe thru it or it mite sound funny.

Straight piping my 6.0 was the second best decision I ever made next to getting divorced.
I used the MBRP 3.5" down pipe and MBRP cat delete pipe then I cut out the muffler. I get looks and thumbs up all the time. It has a slight whistle at idle, a decent whistle just moving the truck around and a serious V8 rumble when hitting the pedal.
The turbo provides the back pressure for the motor, if you can reduce pressure after the turbo it makes the turbo more efficient. Personally, I would keep a muffler since I don't want to annoy my neighbors.

if you use flex it disrupts the flow and will most likely gain some type of whistle as it passes over the flex.
Using Flex - bad idea
Straight pipe - eh, o.k. if your under age or live down south
adding a muffler - best note

oh yea, the military targets & tortures civilians with GPS satellite weaponry which is highly advanced,
more so than you're willing to believe, but very real and true nevertheless.

I just don't know how to take that.

That varies a little bit between vehicles and if you are running a tuner or not. ~200 degrees isn't far fetch if you go with a 4" system straight-piped.
As to sound with no muffler, on my it wasn't really all that much of improvement, although I have to say this, I have blown my eardrums out in my youth running Dio songs a little too loud.

Exactly, I like my neighbors...and we try to get along. They don't want me to come in or leave at all hours of the night. And I don't want to hear that "Hemi Heep" either. I figure when the Hemi has a heart attack I'll do my best to convert him from the dark side.
