well i have never lifted a truck before on my own and this sounds like its not a good one to start on. so maybe i'll buy the kit and take it to les schwabs and have them do it or just not do it at all still in the thinking process.

Lifting a TTB isn't bad.
Just nobody thinks to lower the piviot points to match the leaf springs.
They short cut, like the guy talked about earlier, and just put big ole narly springs on it, and then the camber is messed up.
Every bump you hit, the tires move in and out, and do all sorts of squirly things. the truck will jerk around the road. yada yada.
Get under the truck and look at how the TTB system works. You just have to unbolt some things and drop them down.
Dont forget your new brake hoses for the front also.

dude, call skyjacker, their number is (318) 388-0816
tell them what you want to do and they have the kit you will want. if you want to go cheaper then get a kit with rear blocks. the kit's with rear springs are smoother in my opinion but thats just me. the block rears will work for the avg guy who just wants a big truck and spends most of his time on roads. for example- here is a kit that will pretty much work for you depending on what your truck is equipped with......ie sway bars and such... the only other things you need to buy are shocks and extened brake lines---->all of which they have.
5 minutes on their site got me the above part numbers for basicly everything you would need to make your truck pretty badass....lol i'm telling ya, just give them a call
