Sorry, no pics, but if you look carefully at the end of the hose toward the front of the engine you will see that there is a piece of metal that is kind of an insert that is manufactured as part of the hose. The metal has a small cutout or notch in it. Rotate the hose and line that notch up with the pointer that is cast into the adapter (the aluminum part that the hose connects to.) Once the notch is lined up with the pointer, you can use a small prybar or large screwdriver to slide the hose toward the rear of the engine. This will usually take a little bit of fiddling with as sometimes the hose snags on the fitting.
Take a good look at the adapter, as they are often corroded after a few years and will not seal even with a new hose. The adapter is available as a kit with o-rings from the dealership.
