broken axle?

hi,
i am currently restoring my 68 f250.
and is looking for a rear driverside axole shaft for a dana 60 with detroit lockers. i dont know much about removing and replacing axles but have a good idea and have removed the axle and found that the axle has busted and im having trouble removing the broken peices. does anyone have any suggestion on how to remove the peices?

Where did it break? If in the splines, you are going to have to open it up and clean it out as all the crumblies from the break are going to contaminate the workings. If not, you may be able to push it out a bit, but you are probably looking at some level of teardown. Looking at the "Dana 60 rebuild" etc in 'Articles/Specs' up top, I don't see a pic showing if you can even see or access the axles with a locker with just the cover off.

Got a big magnet? One of those reach and grab things?

it broke at the splines.ive tried several diff magnets and nothing will pull it out.

pull the crosspin out, pull the other axle, get a long piece of roundbar or a bunch of ratchet extensions & drive it out from the other side.
